Saturday night surf report update 11 PM August 11 2012, Surf forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach (August 11, 2012 posted)

Sunday morning, looks like it should have some thigh high sets here at the Cape and waist high  down south in Satellite Beach.

The winds are looking mostly SW , by Midnight tonight, up to maybe 8 mph.  So maybe they won’t blow the small swell flat.  I will go with about a 70% chance for us to get these waves.  As long as the 120 buoy stays South winds or SSE, then the small ground swell should roll in.  I’ll be in bed before I can check the first real hit to the 120, though it did climb from 3 foot at 5 and 6 seconds  on the swell period, on up to 3 foot at 8, and just now 2.6 foot at 8.

When it hits 10 seconds out there with a slight onshore wind to bring it in, then we should have our swell.
If I wake at 3 AM, I’ll take a look 🙂

Say a prayer,
