Video of Paul at Hightowers today, a nice Coverup and Exit! 8 foot to double overhead EPIC waves today! Friday should be fun but NNW Winds, Thursday , February 12, 9:30 PM Surf Report and Forecast for Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and Satellite beach surf report (posted 02/12/2015)

Today was none other than epic in Satellite Beach!  8 foot to double overhead faces, I have lots of Video footage.  Some Awesome talent out there today 🙂

Surf update, below video!  It was amazing the difference today between the Pier which was rib high this morning at 6:45, and in Satellite Beach it was 10 foot plus faces at 7:15, turning double overhead by 9 or 10 AM

Video below of a guy Paul that I met on a nice 8-9 foot face or so, with a nice Coverup, and working the wall!

Paul’s Coverup on a Nice 8 foot to Double Overhead Day from Art Hansen on Vimeo.

A double Overhead ride below, same day, same time:

Friday, should be chest high plus at the Cape or Pier, and probably 1 to 2 foot overhead plus in Satellite Beach.  The winds are looking NNW in the 8 to 15 mph range, so surfing North of 4rth street North is your best bet.  NNW is onshore in Satellite Beach.  Still, should be fun waves!

Saturday should be chest to shoulder high, North going South respectively with more direct offshore winds 🙂

I will be producing a Video from the 70 video clips I shot today of the Awesome talent at Hightowers.

Surfing Video from December big swell, plus, Thursday (2/12) looking Massive, Glassy and … Cold ! Tuesday , February 10, 12:30 PM Surf Report and Forecast for Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and Satellite beach surf report (posted 02/10/2015)

What should Thursday bring?  See the Video of the 2nd big day (smaller than the day before), of the big Nor-easter we had December 11th, in Satellite Beach down below!

The models show 7-7.5 feet at 13 seconds which means, 8 to 12 foot faces, possibly plus, in Satellite Beach.  If the winds are low, as Weather.com says they should be at daybreak, then the swell should fully come in.  If they are hard offshore, then as we saw the delay with Gonzalo and a few other swells, they can take an extra day to come in, or get blown apart a bit.

Wednesday will have some size kicking in with some very strong NNW winds switching North as the size builds thru the day, but I shall wait for Thursday, when it’s 48 in the morning, LOL 🙂

Thursday morning should be 6-8 foot faces at the Pier with bigger sets, and 8-12 foot faces in Satellite Beach with bigger sets.  Winds show offshore, West winds around 4-6 mph, and increasing all day, up to 20 plus mph, so get out early! (4rth day of the models have said this, and when the models hold up for 3 or 4 days, they usually materialize)

Friday looks like strong North winds, still huge, and maybe blowing offshore NNW to NW later in the day.

Saturday looks rib to chest high and offshore and lots of fun.

The video below is from the 2nd biggest day of the 7 day Northeast swell we had the 1st and 2nd week of December.  This video was shot 12/11/2014, around 10 Am to 12 Pm.  The soundtrack is from a band called “Guerrilla Jazz”, from Maui, Hawaii.  The song is called “One Day We’ll Be Gone”. Billy Kemper, a big wave surfer in Hawaii, has a cousin or relative in the band.  Four or so years ago, this video below mine, was done with Laird Hamilton mentoring Billy, along with Ian Walsh.

Sunday morning down south could be big and semi-glassy! Christmas Eve 11:30 AM Surf Report and Forecast for Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and Satellite beach surf report (posted 12/24/2014)

We have a quick powerful ground swell coming in for Sunday morning/day, and for two days running, the models show south winds, which is slight offshore for South CCB to the Inlet.

Sunday morning it could be chest to shoulder high plus and clean/semi-glass conditions.  Low tide around 6:30 AM

Get excited!  That’s a lot more than the knee high stuff we’ve had since the big NE’ster 🙂

If you haven’t seen the 2nd Hurricane Gonzalo video (1st one below)  or the no Tripod, quick 3 clips of the big glassy day in Satellite Beach of the Big Northeast 7 day swell (2nd video), check them out!

Final Video of Epic surf in Satellite Beach from Saturday morning of Hurricane Gonzalo :) Posted 12:00 PM Wednesday morning, 10/29/2014

Saturday Morning and Hurricane Gonzalo was so Epic at day break, when most of the Walls were peeling fast but makeable.  Saturday, October 18 2014 that is.  Not until 9:30 Am or so, did it be come more challenging to choose a wave 🙂  The video below is the second and probably last long one from Gonzalo.  I shot about 250 clips that day, 150 in Satellite and 100 at the Pier. (Note: the video is still uploading at YouTube and should be done by 1:30 PM or before)

Those of you that were there at our Awesome Rock Break in Satellite Beach, know who you are, and where this was shot.  Thanks for all your great surfing, and footage for me to devour!

And I would like to note, that the biggest wall/wave that came in, was caught by a young lady, and she made the most perfect drop (the wave was peeling fast, but perfect), and I may slow motion that clip by itself, to upload to Magicseaweed.com at the Satellite Beach location, where I have most of my photos and videos posted.

So I had to toss a couple barrels in here in kind of a slow motion (yeah I did take two from last video),  just to show the insides of the barrel, and this one guy with an excellent off the lip on an Epic wave in form and size.

There were quite a few 10 foot faces to show that morning, though the common sets were 6-8 foot faces.  The video is about 4 minutes long, and I did it in 1080P, cause the 720P version annoyed me, LOL 🙂

I hope you enjoy.  AND THANK YOU YOU TUBE FOR PERMITTING ME TO UPLOAD 1080p VIDEO!

Oh, and we do have 3 -5 days of big chop surf coming by Sunday night, Monday morning.

And there is a Surf contest at Spessard Holland Park in Melbourne Beach for Groms, by Gnarly Charlie!.  Details are here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1483099941961312/

Have a Great Hump Day folks, and let me know what you think of video!

Tuesday afternoon is the target day ! (Sunday night update 9:30 PM) Quiksilver Surf contest highlites video , clips and more from the Ron Jon Beach ‘N Boards Fest from Saturday created by Walk on Water Productions, plus, Garrett McNamara interview by CNN from his approximate 100 foot wave ride, Surf Report Update…Surf forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach (March 10, 2013 posted)

TUESDAY afternoon is shaping up to be the Gift for us All!  More down below, but for a Tuesday (03/12)  morning 8:10 AM update;  the winds will be lousy at the Cape only until about 3 PM.  (maybe a little before) Why?  South and SSW winds are onshore for us, until SSW becomes more SW.  But since the SSW winds are too strong, it will be sem-choppy anyhow until 2 or 3 PM, my bet is 4 PM.  Then we should see Waist to Chest high at the Cape,  and Chest to Head High Plus in Satellite Beach.  The best time to paddle out, is 4 PM to 5 PM.  Get off work, and enjoy 2 or so hours of big glassy waves, and enjoy Nature’s Happy Hour! (thus ends the Tuesday morning surf update, all below was created the other day )

The video, we created (no Tripod used, apologies)  with some Clips/Highlites from the Saturday portion of the Ron Jon’s Beach n Board Fest, Quiksilver Surf Contest, and more. NOTE: YOUTUBE DEFAULTS AT LOW REZ 360p, SO BE SURE TO CLICK THE 4 FROM RIGHT BOTTOM ICON, FOR HD 720p 🙂

Monday, looks to remain Chest high to over head at the Cape, and still 1 to 3 feet overhead in Satellite Beach, with 9 to 15 mph SE winds, starting low at daybreak and increasing to mid-afternoon.

Tuesday, Chest high plus at the Cape, and Head high to 2 feet overhead in Satellite Beach. Rain in the morning until noon with winds from the South in the 10 to 15 mph range, slowly switching to SSW until 2ish, and hopefully total OFFSHORE AND SW by 2 or 3 PM in the 10 to 12 mph range.  Then the winds start working there way to WSW until dark.  So from 2 PM until dark (which is now around 7:30 or so, yeah daylight savings 🙂

Wednesday and Thursday, still should have some sizeable leftovers, but the winds are looking to be in the 15 to 20 mph NNW range Wednesday morning.

I just had to add this Anderson Cooper, interview of Garrett McNamara, about his 100 foot wave ride on January 29, 2013.

Enjoy and pray for an Epic Tuesday afternoon to hold true!
