Surfing Video of Chad and Friday Morning is looking Epic, 3 days running now, Tuesday morning, 4/29 Surf report at 11:15 AM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , posted 4/29/2014

Friday is looking potentially Epic with a 3 foot at 12 second ground swell, which could produce chest high plus waves between the Cape and Satellite Beach. More below…

Surfing footage of Chad riding a few nice glassy chest high plus waves in Satellite Beach, on April 22, 2014.

Friday could have stomach to chest high plus waves between the Cape and Satellite Beach with offshore winds up until noon.

Thursday afternoon should also have a strong chunk of the swell coming in late afternoon, also up to chest high, maybe South winds in the 10-15 mph range meaning Playalinda or Spanish House with offshore winds and a slight offshore effect in Satellite Beach.  This would be onshore winds North of Minuteman Causeway, so Thursday you may want to check out the South Streets or further south.

Saturday could have some thigh to waist high glassy leftovers 🙂

Today was fun, last week Tuesday was more fun , Video by Walk On Water Productions from Satellite Beach

Satellite Beach Surfing Video, shot a week , from last tuesday, 03/25,  There were a few shortboarders that were a total  pleasure to watch, with sweet carving, 360 floaters, and a longboarder that thought he was on a shortboard.  Hope you enjoy the short video.

Today Saturday, 04/05/2014, the waves kicked in for an hour, around 10 to 11 AM, and I got my 80-100 yard waist high wall to put a smile on my face; and a few really fun rail grabber lefts 🙂

Friday night 04/04 9 PM update below, Saturday could provide us a Solid Ground swell around Waist high plus, Surfing Videos from a March 2014 swell, Thursday morning Surf report at 10:15 AM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , April 03 2014 posted

Friday night 9:00 PM update from the report I shared Thursday below this Friday update;  Ground swell, is here, should hold, and winds still look SW to WSW in the 5 to 8 mph range on Saturday.  And Sunday, we may have SSW winds which is slight offshore from 8th South and further South.  Size should be the same, on Sunday or 6 inches bigger until 11 or 12 probably.

—————————————————————————————

Saturday morning could have a solid ENE Ground Swell for us with Waist to occasional Chest high sets and Glassy…More below on the incoming swell…

Walk on Water Productions website was out on Tuesday morning the 25th, to get the footage while it was Glass 🙂

The two videos below are some clips that I shot in Satellite Beach, both are from March 25, 2014 around 10 AM, with a nice Aerial at the end, and the second, is a clip of Chad that I shot on the same day, a nice glassy 10 second left 🙂  I will compile another video from the same day soon.

The swell period which determines whether or not we have a ground swell, starts rolling in Friday afternoon late, but come in Saturday morning around 6 to 9 am.  And it is supposed to strengthen thru the day bringing in more consistent chest high sets.  It could be glassy until noon even , air temp around 68 at daybreak, winds, SW to WSW in the 4 to 8 mph range.

Sunday morning, could be chest high, and semi-glassy down south, as the winds right now are showing South in the 10 plus mph range, so we won’t know more on that until Friday some time.

Enjoy, and we’ll post an update, if it looks like the winds will change drastically in any way.

Thanks, and have a great post Camel Day.

Video from Today ! Sunday is looking to be waist to chest high plus, with semi-glass at the Cape and Cocoa Beach till 10 or so, this is the Saturday night Surf report at 11:00 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , March 08 2014 posted

I have a 3 minute Video of Satellite Beach from today, it was cranking, stomach high to some over-head drops, and glass till 9:30, then semi-glass till 11.  The Video will be loaded, is loaded now !

Sunday surf, waist to chest high, NNW offshore winds which is good for the Cape and North Cocoa Beach, until 10 AM or so, in the 5 to 8 mph range, then N for an hour, then NE.  Get it early, even though the tide time isn’t the best !

Semi Glassy waves by 1 or 2 PM today and glassy by 4 PM today Thursday March 6th in the waist to stomach range, this is the Thursday afternoon Surf report at 12:30 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , March 06 2014 posted

Possible glassy waves by 2 PM today and very fun ! … More below…

Scariest Wipeout I have seen in a couple years on this video just below all this surf talk.  Tasmania has the Right, Shipstern Bluff, and this break in the Video which I never heard of, with a 40 plus foot face, and a wall thicker than Teahupoo.  The surfer thought he broke his back

My video just below this line, was one of the epic lefts that came thru on March 3rd,  Monday, a solid head high left, that this guy worked the face to stay ahead of the wave, awesome reading of the wave !  100 YARD PLUS RIDE, VERY SWEET 🙂  Walk On Water Productions.biz video, see our site here:

Today, Thursday, March 6th, we should have winds, that turn offshore sometime after 1 PM, with waist to stomach high waves, getting bigger of course as you move south.   Very strange , but here is the wind situation.  They started North at midnight, went NE,  as the push of the new smaller swell coming in late today comes in, the winds change to SSE, (this is at the Patrick Air Force base weather station which is the most accurate source of winds for us),  they are now turned south from 8 down to 6 mph, 10 am south at 8, and at 11 am the last reading they were south at 6 mph, so probably noon reading they will be south and by 1 Pm, they should make a shift to SSW, and maybe by 4 or 5 PM, they will turn SW.  So after 1 or 2 PM, there should be solid waist high to stomach high glassy waves south of 8th Street south, but by 6 PM, the little swell will be down to 2 feet probably.

Friday, late afternoon, a new swell starts rolling in, bringing us waist to stomach, but, the winds will be offshore strong, so they may literally blow it flat. If not, it should be fun, but it will bring solid waist to chest high waves for Saturday, and clean to semi-glassy conditions all day Saturday for the North only. (The Cape thru 4rth street North).  If it turns NNW, then Satellite Beach will have some shoulder high plus waves and semi-glassy, yeah !

Sunday, will be waist to chest high with light north winds my guess in the 6 to 8 mph range with a strong change of turning NNW or NW, then , it could be great not only North but also down South.

It was Chest to head high glass Today for March 3rd , this is the Monday evening March 3rd Surf report at 7:45 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , March 03 2014 posted

Yes, we had some one to two foot overhead drops on some of the sets today!  Solid Chest to Head high waves, See the Video below 🙂  How bout Tuesday?

Tuesday should be thigh to waist high, with maybe a few chest high sets, but my guess is down south only on the upper end.  Winds should be great everywhere,  WNW at daybreak, turning NW and then to North by around Noon.

Video shot in Satellite Beach, by Walk On Water Productions 🙂

Chest to head high glass expected for Monday March 3rd , Saturday March 1st afternoon Surf report at 1:30 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , March 01 2014 posted

Monday Surf is Looking Great!   Possible Chest to Shoulder high waves , down south best bet for offshore winds SSW early to maybe SW in early afternoon 8 to 12 mph winds starting stronger in the morning.

Tuesday is looking smaller but more glass.  Waist to Chest high

Video of Similar possible size for Monday, filmed in Satellite Beach:

Friday, February 21, at 1 PM, is the best time to head out for surf. Chest high plus ground swell is coming in today! Posted February 02 2014 at 12:20 PM

High tide is at 11 on Friday +or-,  and the swell will be fully in, but the reason for the call on time, is its 2 hours after high tide which is good for form, and the wind should turn south by noon or a little after from onshore wind.  South is offshore, from 4th Street south and further.  Best for 2nd light and Satellite beach.  And if you want closer to perfection, Spanish house, South winds are 26 degree offshore , instead of just 10 degree offshore as in Satellite Beach.  Size should be chest high with maybe some bigger sets 🙂

Won’t be this glassy, but it should be this size at the pier or better, and definitely bigger down south.  This short board (2nd half of video),  was shot on February 27, 2013:

Video of Johnson Avenue Surfers 3 Years in Review is live and there for eternity , posted January 1 2014

We have a very cool, unique group of Surfer friends in the neighborhood.  And I felt rather obsessed to share the still images and video that I have shot the last few years of as many of us as I could.

I apologize that 3 or 4 people, I was just not around, to get as much photos or video as I could, and in some of the photos, I was forced to shoot footage directly into the Sun, which can definitely degrade the photo or footage.  But with that said, I do hope y’all enjoy this, I tried to create in a way to bridge the Young and the Old 🙂

Thanks for the Opportunity,

Oldwaverider (Art)

Video of Johnson Avenue Surfers 3 Years in Review 2011-2013 will be live January 1st 2014 ! and more waves coming :)

THREE YEARS IN REVIEW VIDEO  of Johnson Avenue Surfers will be live on January 1st, 2014, yeah tomorrow 🙂

My apologies for not sharing any reports for the last couple of swells we have had;  as Y’all know, my main focus, is to share the Awesome Talent and Efforts, of those that surf from around the Neighborhood, by catching them on Camera or Video.  This may be at the end  of our street, the Jetty, the Cocoa Beach Pier, Satellite Beach and anywhere in between.

It’s taken me 70 or so hours to compile this baby, so that’s why I’ve been away from sharing any updates, and we all know that Surfline, Seaweed and Ross are there for that purpose anyhow 🙂

I will post the Video sometime New Years Day or tonight if I finish in time.  The Surfers present are Chad, Don, Dr. John, Sunny, Me (Oldwaverider), Chuck, Chris (Orlando), Joe (Boston), Lacey, Mike (my buddy from Lakeland), Dave (Sunny’s dad), Scooter, Ron, Tim C., Dennis (Core Surf),  and Paul (Jeremy’s kin and the Emu Bird Man).

I apologize if I missed anyone, and if I did, and you know I have footage of you, let me know, and I will update the final Video.  The Soundtrack part will be provided by Bob Marley, Guerilla Jazz of Hawaii (I hope) and perhaps one other artist.  I tried to use the Shins, but they have the U.S. blocked from using their copyright, so the tunes may have some change if YouTube lets me know.

Thanks for letting me capture the Great Times and Awesome Talent & People in sharing this compilation with You!

Happy New Year, and Be Safe 🙂
