Bertha Surf Video, Bertha delivered big, both Tuesday and Wednesday :) Thursday evening Surf report at 8:30 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , posted 08/07/2014
A Small Southeast swell is rolling in, during the day Friday and will be here through Saturday. We could have some knee to waist high waves with offshore winds both mornings.
The video below is an unknown surfer at 4rth street in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday. I hope to have a 2 to 4 minute video of Big Tuesday in the next week. Wednesday had some waist high plus waves too, at O Club and south, however, no video from Wednesday.

Big Waves coming Thursday March 20 ! Great Video: Awesome 15 foot to 60 foot faces Belharra Riding w Sancho and Dorian, this is the Tuesday night Surf report at 9:15 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , March 18 2014 posted
Big Waves coming Thursday March 20 ! More down below 🙂
Big swell starts rolling in all day Wednesday, but not till after dark, does the powerhouse Ground Swell come in !
Thursday, at daybreak, we should be blessed with Shoulder high waves up North to Overhead sets down south. The swell is not to steep, so it should fill in to the Cape fairly nicely, and of course way better in Satellite Beach. The winds should be NNW until maybe 9 AM, and then North, so it should be semi-glassy from 4rth Street North up to the Cape. Satellite handles side shore NNW winds a lot better than we handle sideshore SSW winds, but up North is your best shot for glass. If u want size, go to Satellite. NOTE: THE WINDS TURN NORTH, BY 9 AM, SO GET OUT EARLY!
Friday will only be a foot or foot and a half smaller in the early AM, but once the winds pick up late morning, the size will dampen. Light onshore winds in the morning, and then they go stiff.
Semi Glassy waves by 1 or 2 PM today and glassy by 4 PM today Thursday March 6th in the waist to stomach range, this is the Thursday afternoon Surf report at 12:30 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , March 06 2014 posted
Possible glassy waves by 2 PM today and very fun ! … More below…
Scariest Wipeout I have seen in a couple years on this video just below all this surf talk. Tasmania has the Right, Shipstern Bluff, and this break in the Video which I never heard of, with a 40 plus foot face, and a wall thicker than Teahupoo. The surfer thought he broke his back
My video just below this line, was one of the epic lefts that came thru on March 3rd, Monday, a solid head high left, that this guy worked the face to stay ahead of the wave, awesome reading of the wave ! 100 YARD PLUS RIDE, VERY SWEET 🙂 Walk On Water Productions.biz video, see our site here:

Today, Thursday, March 6th, we should have winds, that turn offshore sometime after 1 PM, with waist to stomach high waves, getting bigger of course as you move south. Very strange , but here is the wind situation. They started North at midnight, went NE, as the push of the new smaller swell coming in late today comes in, the winds change to SSE, (this is at the Patrick Air Force base weather station which is the most accurate source of winds for us), they are now turned south from 8 down to 6 mph, 10 am south at 8, and at 11 am the last reading they were south at 6 mph, so probably noon reading they will be south and by 1 Pm, they should make a shift to SSW, and maybe by 4 or 5 PM, they will turn SW. So after 1 or 2 PM, there should be solid waist high to stomach high glassy waves south of 8th Street south, but by 6 PM, the little swell will be down to 2 feet probably.
Friday, late afternoon, a new swell starts rolling in, bringing us waist to stomach, but, the winds will be offshore strong, so they may literally blow it flat. If not, it should be fun, but it will bring solid waist to chest high waves for Saturday, and clean to semi-glassy conditions all day Saturday for the North only. (The Cape thru 4rth street North). If it turns NNW, then Satellite Beach will have some shoulder high plus waves and semi-glassy, yeah !
Sunday, will be waist to chest high with light north winds my guess in the 6 to 8 mph range with a strong change of turning NNW or NW, then , it could be great not only North but also down South.

Second punch of this swell coming in Monday late morning to early afternoon, Aaron Gold on Ride of the Year Entry at Jaws for Billabong XXL 2014, Sunday night surf report at 10:30 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , February 02 2013 posted
Monday, should have waist to chest high waves, maybe a few bigger sets down south, if the 2nd part of this swell comes rolling in late morning. It should jack the size up a foot bigger on the face than we have had the last few days. More details about Monday morning winds below;
The Video; an incredible late drop in on a 50 foot face at Jaws by Aaron Gold, maybe not quite as perfect as Mark Healey’s Ride of the Year entry, but still incredibly impressive, and , a Nasty Wipeout !
A little more of this swell is coming in late morning Monday, probably after high tide. Winds are South early until 10 or 11ish. It could very well blow SSW in the morning, as the light South winds are to be in the 6 to 8 mph range. Why could it blow SSW? The short of it, land absorbs the sun’s heat much more than the ocean, and overnight, the land cools very quickly and can blow offshore breezes when the prevailing winds are light, and can do so, until the sun starts to warm the land up again in the morning. That’s why these type of offshore winds can happen, but don’t last much longer than an hour or two after first light.
36 to 60 hour wind/ground swell headed in for Sunday late morning/afternoon, maybe something rideable thru Tuesday, Sunday late morning maybe waist t rib high chop at the Cape and maybe thru North Cocoa Beach, Saturday night surf report at 11:00 PM, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , December 07 2013 posted
Will we have something fun, Sunday afternoon? BUOY JUST STARTED CLIMBING AROUND 3 AM LAST NIGHT, AS OF 8:23 AM (SUNDAY MORN UPDATE ) Think so, fun with light chop in the 8 to 12 mph SE range. Now this backside rail-grabber at Jaws for a 50 foot plus face, Billabong XXL 2013, Ride of the Year entry for Mark Healey, this is once insane, massively skilled drop. He knew Jaws, and how he had to set his rail before bottom, to beat lousing his head on a White Water punch to the head :
Monday, should have a little more size to it, maybe rib to chest high, with winds more like 10 to 15 mph SE or SSE. Playalinda or Spanish House would be the place to go. South winds are 26 degrees offshore for the Inlet and Spanish House, and 36 degrees offshore at Playalinda, so for SSE winds, they could easily waver in between SSE and South.
Tuesday, a little lighter on the wind, with size drop, but could be fun longboard clean waves.
11 feet 8 seconds at the 20 mile buoy and 13.5 feet at St. Augustine buoy, huge onshore chop, but … below, and Billabong XXL Ride of the Year entry by Maya Gabeira at Nazare, Portugal, Wednesday morning surf report update 10:00 AM November 13 2013, forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , November 13, 2013 posted
Will there be anything rideable from this big, steep angle NE swell late today, tomorrow, will there be a glassy day? … see below ;
Video clip below is from November 7th, this year at the Cocoa Beach Pier. (video by http://www.walkonwaterproductions.biz ) Marcus enjoying a nice clean right:
Today, if you don’t mind a workout, at 3 PM, go to Lori Wilson or 4rth Street North, and you could still have North winds at 30 plus mph with well overhead faces, with a few semi-clean faces. You could do the same at the Pier, but the size won’t be near the same. The angle of this swell is so steep, meaning like it is coming from a 45 degree angle, and since the ocean straight out, here at the Cape is 90 Degrees, it isn’t too hard to figure out, that our Jetty and the Cape itself, sticks out way way way, further then like New Smyrna/Ponce, so 60% or more of the swell will be blocked out unless you drive at least 2 or 3 miles South.
Below, Ride of the Year entry for Billabong XXL Awards for 2014, Maya Gabeira, first time a Woman, and she is always deserving 🙂
Thursday, the winds should be cut in half, so then, the normal animals that enjoy the Pier for a User Friendly chop paddle out with 1 to 2 foot overhead faces should be there to great you in the morning. Satellite Beach, if u want some 3 foot over head drops on the sets, and a much longer paddle out 🙂
I don’t see anything showing a glassy day, except a weak model for Tuesday. Since this is really a wind swell, our window for glass, will most likely be 3 or 4 hours, and could be morning or in the dark, but I don’t see that day being big. Most likely a waist to chest high day at best, but we’ll keep ya posted 🙂
Thurs, Friday, Saturday surf coming … , SHANE DORIAN BEST WAVE EVER, BIGGEST BARREL PADDLE IN MAYBE EVER VIDEO!, Tuesday night October 29 , 9:45 PM Surf Update , Surf Report ,Surf forecast for Cape Canaveral , Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach , October 29, 2013 posted
Will there be a glassy juicy day with size coming this week? 3 days running now, Saturday holds to be the glassy rib to maybe a chest high day down south only, and Friday appears to be the biggest day with a chance of glassy from South winds but only South of around 13th Street, where the South winds breaks start. More reporting down below the video…
January 11, 2013, Shane Dorian paddled into the Biggest Wave and Ride of his life at Jaws. Breaking further outside than the lineup, and he was further out than the others;
Wednesday, the winds swell is rolling in, but weak and onshore in the 12 mph range and building thru the day, but, it will be a little rideable, and show waist high sets once in a while.
Thursday, thoughout the day, an East-Northeast windswell rolls in, probably giving us some thigh high waves at the Cape, and waist high down south with ESE winds starting probably 10 mph at daybreak, and increasing to 15 plus thru the day. Nothing to get excited about, but hey there will be waves.
Friday, late morning or early afternoon, an almost groundswell or a groundswell pushes in the back of the windswell and should give us waist to chest high waves at the Pier, and rib to some shoulder high sets in Satellite Beach. Direct South winds, in the 8 to 15 mph range, up until afternoon, and then the winds turn SSE. Playalinda , Sebastian, Spanish house it will be total offshore winds. At the Cape and North CCB, it will be onshore winds. From 13th Street South, it will be 5 to 10 degrees offshore depending on your break. South is the only place to go 🙂
Saturday, should be solid waist high, with some possible chest high sets down South. Winds should be offshore in the 10 to 15 mph ranges, Westerly mostly, and increase in late afternoon turning more NNW. But it is still early to call the winds until 48 hours out, so we’ll keep you posted.
Enjoy, looks like at least two solid fun days of waves!
